定義： 螺桿（拼音：luógǎn，英文：screw）：外表面切有螺旋槽的圓柱或者切有錐面螺旋槽的圓錐。螺桿具有不同的頭，頭叫外六角螺桿。還有其他，例如大扁螺桿、內六角螺絲等等。由擠出過程可知，螺桿是在高溫、一定腐蝕、強烈磨損、大扭矩下工作的，因此，螺桿必須：1）耐高溫，高溫下不變形；2）耐磨損，壽命長；3）耐腐蝕，物料具有腐蝕性；4）高強度，可承受大扭矩，高轉速；5）具有良好的切削加工性能；6）熱處理后殘余應力小，熱變形小等。我國常用的螺桿材料有45號鋼、40Cr、氨化鋼、38CrMOAl，高溫合金等。1）45號鋼便宜，加工性能好，但耐磨耐腐蝕性能差。熱處理：調質HB220—270，高頻淬火HRC45--48。2）40Cr的性能優于45號鋼，但往往要鍍上一層鉻，以提高其耐腐蝕耐磨損的能力。但對鍍鉻層要求較高，鍍層太薄易于磨損，太厚則易剝落，剝落后反而加速腐蝕，已較少應用。熱處理：調質HB220—270，鍍硬鉻HRC>553）氮化鋼、38CrMoAl綜合性能比較優異，應用比較廣泛。一般氮化層達0．4—0．6毫米。但這種材料抵抗氯化氫腐蝕的能力低，且價格較高。4）高溫合金材料優于其它材料，該材料不用鍍層，主要用于注塑機生無鹵螺桿，該材料抗氧化耐腐蝕性能高，熱處理hra55`60.調質HB220—270，滲氮HRC>65國外有用碳化鈦涂層的方法來提高螺桿表面的耐腐蝕能力，但據報道，其耐磨損能力還不夠好。國外在提高螺桿的耐磨耐腐蝕能力方面采取了一系列措施。一種辦法是采用高度耐磨耐腐蝕合金鋼。如34CrAlNi，、31CrMo12等。還有采取在螺桿表面噴涂Xaloy合金的方法。這種Xaloy合金具有高的耐磨耐蝕性能。注：本名詞內容引自百度百科
